MBA Essentials – London School of Economics and Political Science

As part of my personal drive to continuously develop I have decided to undertake the LSE MBA Essentials course. Having completed numerous IT specific certifications previously across technology and cyber security I decided on a different path for ‘what next’ – enter What about an MBA?

I had researched around taking on a full MBA but decided to take a risk-based approach and start with an initial 10 week commitment; this ensures I am comfortable with the learning format and the content aligns with my expectations.

I have just started (5th August 2020) and completed Orientation in the LSE MBA-E online course; and I’m excited to get started with the next 10 modules to be completed online over the next 10 weeks. By the end I will have a foundational validation of areas I am already aware and comfortable, and I will certainly learn a lot from the content yet to be delivered.

Of the 300+ participants enrolled globally; it has been split down into different Class Groups (less than 100) and then further split into Small Groups. In my Small Group there are 14 students including myself with an exciting mix of flags denoting where in the world we are all located.

The modules all look interesting; I’m looking forward to getting started with Module 1 tomorrow!
